Date: Weekdays & Weekends (during school term time)

Salary: Minimum £12 - £15 per hour

About Us:

We specialize in classroom-based STEM learning in Surrey locations for young children aged 5 – 12, running after-school and holiday clubs. Please visit https://www.awestem.co.uk/ to learn more.

 

 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for passionate Coding and Robotics Instructors to mentor and deliver prescribed lessons and programming concepts and help our young students unlock the passion for learning technology.

 

On-the-job training and all teaching materials provided, where you will work with other like-minded enthusiasts and creative minds.

 

 

You will:

  • Prepare and deliver pre-arranged lessons for the duration of the allocated course time in relation to the group program.

  • Oversee the safety and well-being of children, such as ensure that class discipline is of a high standard, and seek the support of management staff if there is a problem or report any incident.

  • Liaise with Managers and other tutors in charge in order to structure the classes suitably and consistently and carry out tasks according to your pre-arranged plan.

  • Be flexible to meet the demands of the job and be a positive role model for young children.

  • Be punctual, good at time-keeping and time management, approachable and someone who enjoys interacting with young children and liaising with parents.

 

 

Note: Sessions are either 2 or 2.5 hours and run on a weekly basis during term time and usually between 3 pm to 6 pm.

 

 

Required Skills:

  • Professional experience is not a prerequisite; however, you will need to demonstrate some computational and interpersonal skills and a deep passion for technology.

  • Excellent communication skills and someone with a passion for learning new technologies.

  • Patient with a pleasant demeanour, dependable, approachable, and polite.

  • Satisfactory Basic DBS Clearance is a MUST as you will be working with children.

  • Must be able to commute to the schools’ location.
