Roblox Game Design and Lua Programming

Build and code your own disco-themed OBBY game in Roblox and publish it for others to play.

Using Roblox Studio, an incredibly popular gaming platform, students will design, model, and build their own disco-themed obstacle world.

Students will learn coding and debugging skills using the Lua programming language, a widely popular platform used by game developers.

Each student will have their own Roblox account. They will learn to install and create a new Obby project, configure their own custom models such as changing color and shape, create spawn location and world objects, add multiple checkpoints, and test their game.

Using Lua, they will write coding to change RGB colors and materials. In the process, students will be introduced to coding fundamentals such as scripting syntax, variables, loops, conditionals, and functions.

By the end of the course, they would be able to publish their own unique Roblox game for others to play.

This mini-workshop is a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded students, learn the hottest technologies and build your child's confidence in STEM.
